Electrical Industrial Technician - Ex Military
Job Specification:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Electrical Industrial Technician to join our team. As an Industrial Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out repairs on a wide range of industrial equipment, including AC and DC motors, Motorised Gearboxes, Gearbox's, Pumps, Fan units, and other associated rotating equipment. Your main duties will involve fault finding, identifying defects and worn/damaged components, and rectifying any issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability of the equipment.
Key Responsibilities:

Repair and Maintenance: Conduct repairs and maintenance on various types of industrial equipment to ensure they function efficiently and reliably. This includes diagnosing issues, identifying faulty components, and implementing appropriate corrective actions.

Electrical Testing: Possess a basic electrical testing capability to assess the electrical condition of AC & DC components, enabling you to identify electrical faults and take necessary actions.

Mechanical Engineering Expertise: Utilize your sound mechanical engineering knowledge to identify and address faulty and worn/damaged components. Familiarity with reclamation techniques and reverse engineering options is essential to perform effective repairs.

Pump Experience: Demonstrate expertise in working with various pump types, such as hot oil, water, and basic hydraulic systems, to effectively troubleshoot and repair pump-related issues.

24/7 Service Support: Be prepared to work in a demanding and busy 24/7 service-oriented environment. Flexibility in working hours and participation in the call-out rota will be necessary to provide timely support to our customers.

On-Site and Workshop Work: Be comfortable working both on-site and in the workshop, depending on the requirements of the job. Previous experience in site working is advantageous, and holding suitable qualifications like the CCNSG passport is preferable.
