Role Overview:
As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient fulfillment of customer orders and seamless communication between various teams and suppliers worldwide. Your ability to thrive under pressure and work effectively both independently and collaboratively will be invaluable in meeting tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:

Fulfillment of Customer Orders: You will be responsible for managing the entire process of fulfilling customer orders promptly and accurately. Your attention to detail will ensure orders are processed efficiently, meeting our service level agreements (SLAs).

Support and Communication: Act as a central point of contact for the Purchasing Team, providing essential support and addressing queries promptly. Your excellent communication skills will facilitate smooth collaboration between the Sales Team in the UK, Purchasing teams globally, and our network of suppliers.

Supplier Selection and Management: Determine the best-suited suppliers based on a careful evaluation of factors such as price, lead time, and shipping options. Cultivate strong supplier relationships to ensure optimal performance and value for the company.

Documentation and Information Management: Keep detailed records of all communications with suppliers and internal teams for easy retrieval and seamless information sharing. Your well-organized approach will be instrumental in enhancing overall efficiency.

ERP System Management: Maintain and update supply chain information within our ERP system to ensure accurate and up-to-date data. Your expertise in managing the system will contribute to a well-functioning supply chain.
Experience and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a fast-paced Purchasing or Supply Chain department, with a track record of releasing and managing purchase orders.
- Proficiency in Far East Purchasing, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, fostering productive partnerships.
- In-depth understanding of Incoterms, including shipping logistics for both air and sea transportation methods.
