Quality Compliance Manager - Ex- Military Welcome
Job Function & Key Tasks
- Supporting with the identification of necessary and beneficial QMS improvements to improve operational efficiency and ensure compliance
- Responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of robust quality management systems IATF 16949:2016, ensuring the company’s statutory and contractual duties are fulfilled and exceeded. Ensure systems and services are monitored and reviewed in order to continually improve quality.
- In collaboration with Service Managers, have overall responsibility for writing, revising, reviewing, updating and developing policies and procedures. Ensure policies and procedures are developed and applied in a consistent manner across all services. To be responsible for the dissemination and adoption of best practice.
- To ensure in-house managers are fully compliant with company policies and procedures and maintain a system of monitoring regular audit checks to ensure compliance at all times.
- To ensure action plans, targets and deadlines are issued where gaps are identified through the audit process to ensure compliance.
- Managing the internal and supplier audit schedule and ensuring the deadlines are maintained
- To provide professional guidance and up to date advice on all regulatory and legislative changes.
- To work in conjunction with Managers review and reporting on services performance against key performance indicators (KPI’s).
- To perform any other duties required from time to time that fall within the scope of this job description (but not limited to the job description)
- Supplier audits. Work with the Purchasing team to assess new suppliers and re-assess existing suppliers to ensure their continued suitability to meet requirements.
- Supporting with all 3rd Party Audits (certification and customer)
- This position involves travelling to various locations.
Principle Responsibilities
- Staying up to date with IATF requirements sanctioned interpretations to ensure constant compliance
- Staying up to date with customer supplier requirements to ensure compliance
- Ensuring a risk based approach to auditing for maximum effectiveness of the process
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to agree relevant audit agendas
- Reviewing of audit outputs and identifying systemic failures or patterns to ensure a proactive approach to improvements
- Ensuring audit readiness for any 3rd party customer audits and supporting with the visits
- Ensuring audit readiness for all surveillance and recertification audits from the certification body
Health and Safety Responsibilities

- Reporting of all accidents, incidents and reporting any failings as necessary, or bring to the attention of the Health & Safety Manager
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in quality or compliance manager role
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a quality or compliance manager role working within IATF 16949
- Ability to define and manage own workloads
- Strong PC skills (office, intranet based systems)
- Confident communicator to all levels of a business (internal and external stakeholders)
- Is flexible & adaptable
- Ability to multitask on various projects.
- Has good organisational skills
- Has the ability to work under pressure
- Has an exceptional attention to detail
- A team player is essential
- Fluency in English is essential.

Education, Experiences & Qualifications
- CQI qualification preferable
- Lead Auditor Qualification (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949)
- VDA 6.3 Qualified Auditor (not essential but desirable)
- AS9100 knowledge/awareness would be beneficial but not imperative

- Adherence to latest standards
