Carbon Fibre Prepper

Job Function & Key Tasks

• Prep visual and none visual parts to customer specification within the allotted timescales
• Identify imperfections and defects
• Deal with carbon defects, voids, distortion, dry patches
• Use various materials to rectify defects
• Work to standard operation procedures
• Ensure you follow priority list in order to meet production schedules
• Take responsibility for wearing the correct PPE as per H & S guidelines
• Understand and ensure the desired quality standards are met
• Ensure correct paperwork accompanies the parts throughout the process (Inc. reworks)
• Ensure quantities of produced parts are entered accurately on the company MRP system
• Maintain 6s principles
• Ensure all equipment is adequately maintained
• Any other ad hoc duties as requested by the management team.
• Flexibility – able to support the needs of a rapidly growing, dynamic business

Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 2 years’ Experience working with visual carbon fibre and none visual.
• Good communication skills
• Demonstrate a good understanding of carbon fibre
• Visually access carbon fibre parts
• Experience in working to processes
• Highly motivated – able to work as part of a team

Education, Experiences & Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ Experience working with visual carbon fibre and none visual
• A proven track record within this field
• Basic computer skills for booking on and off of Works Orders
• Good communication skills

Working Hours: Double Days

£12.24 to £14.50 plus shift allowance
