Purpose of Role
|
Operating specified machinery safely in order to manufacture and assemble home products to all Customers requirements, to the highest standard. Ensure required production output targets are met and to the correct standards. Work independently and as part of the team as required.

Key Accountabilities
|
- Ensure health & safety compliance at all times.
- Meeting required production targets in allocated tasks.
- To assist other areas of production where necessary to complete all customer orders.
- If applicable, be capable of programming, setting and operating NC/CNC machinery.
- Have ability to use quality measurement equipment to confirm dimensional requirements are met.
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with Company procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Dealing with problems as they arise, escalating to supervision when required.
- Report all Health & Safety issues including machine and tool faults / Damage.
- Document actions by completing Production and quality forms.
- Report all damages to Stock during Goods In, Production and Goods Out.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and Management.

Dimensions of Role
|
- Working in a safe manner with due consideration for personal Health & Safety and that of co-workers always. To complete daily safety checks and routine cleaning of machinery and local areas.
- Prepare work to be accomplished by studying Work instructions, drawings, and parts lists, picking parts, tools, and materials, reporting any differences.
- Demonstrating competence in trained factory tasks
- To provide training for other members of the team and others within the company when required.
- Attend any required training courses identified by management
- Following information and instruction to the best of your ability
- Functioning to the best of your ability within the production team, treating other employees with dignity and respect.
- Any other duties as required to fulfil the company needs.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience Necessary
|
PC awareness
Past experience operating NC equipment or hand tool skills advantageous
Eye for detail; ability to understand works order instructions
Good communicator. Excellent ability to read and comprehend works orders written in English
To be self-motivated and comfortable working within a fast-paced environment.
