Reports to: Manager – Project Engineering Group – UK & EMEA
Location: Droitwich Spa
Role Description:
As a Project Manager, you'll find a seamless transition from your military service to overseeing the design, planning, and execution of projects in a civilian environment. Your leadership, organisational prowess, and problem-solving skills honed in the military will be instrumental in ensuring project success within agreed timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Apply your meticulous attention to detail to conduct comprehensive contract reviews, ensuring programme feasibility and technical compliance.
- Utilise your strategic mindset to prepare accurate estimates and tender submissions, reflecting your understanding of client requirements.
- Leverage your experience in stakeholder management to foster strong relationships and effectively communicate project progress and milestones.
Day-to-Day Project Activities:
- Implement your logistical expertise to develop procurement plans and coordinate purchases, ensuring timely delivery of materials and resources.
- Draw upon your strategic planning skills to organise project schedules and manage resources efficiently, optimising project delivery.
- Showcase your adaptability by addressing challenges and mitigating risks, ensuring project objectives are achieved safely and effectively.
Design Risk Assessment:
- Employ your analytical skills to produce technical submissions and conduct risk assessments, demonstrating your commitment to project safety and quality.
- Utilise your experience in site surveys and method statement preparation to ensure project activities comply with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
Role Requirements:
- Transitioning military personnel with a strong track record of leadership and performance.
- Experience in military engineering, logistics, or operational roles preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead diverse teams effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with project management software is advantageous.
- AutoCAD experience or qualification desirable.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
