Customer Service Operative
Do you have excellent communication and listening skills?
Have you had previous experience working in an inbound call centre environment?
If the answer is yes to the above, I am seeking to appoint a number of Insurance Service Centre Operators to work for my client, a well established and successful manufacturer and supplier business based in Blackburn.
The main function of the role is to process insurance claims from instruction to installation. This is initially a temporary position leading to a permanent role following a 13 week probationary period. The hours are Monday to Friday; 12pm - 8pm shifts.
Main duties:
• Deal with all parties in a polite, courteous and ordered manner.
• Handle telephone communications from Policyholders.
• Liaise with Insurance Companies & Loss Adjusters.
• Answer any incoming telephone calls into the Centre within Service Level Agreement.
• Process paperwork.
• Chase up relevant parties (via outgoing telephone call or fax) to ensure the claim is handled swiftly and efficiently.
• Take ownership of problems were required to ensure issues are resolved.
• Transcribe telephone conversations into claim contact logs.
• Ensure all relevant paperwork is placed in the correct claim file.
• Collate relevant information to ensure the claim can be invoiced without delay.
• Handle complaints within Financial Services Authority guidelines.
• In addition to the duties listed, the post holder is required to perform any other reasonable duties assigned to them by a Director/ Senior Manager/ Team Leader.
Experience required:
• Excellent communication skills
• Good understanding of IT packages
• Previous customer service/call centre background
